"A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows,
Is God in His holy habitation.
God sets the solitary in families;
He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
But the rebellious dwell in a dry land." Psalm 68:5-6 NKJV

"
If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." James 1: 26-27 NKJV

"Open your mouth for the speechless,
In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy." Proverbs 31:8-9

14 Days of Love for Jada

 This Valentines share the Gift of Love with Jada by Donating $14.00 before February 14th!

Jada turns 14 on February 22nd and in her country this means she will no longer be eligible for adoption. She has a family racing against the clock to get her but they need our help to ensure that they have the necessary funds to pay all associated fees. Your donation of any amount is tax-deductible.

Angel Tree 2013

Today is the start of Reece's Rainbow's 2013 Angel Tree, their largest fundraiser of the year, where we hope to raise $1000 for each child listed on the tree. Our family has chosen two children to advocate for, David and Holly.

For a donation of $35.00 or more, while supplies last, you will receive an ornament with the picture of the child you donated to. Click on the pictures on the right of the page to learn more. (Shane is not part of Angel Tree this year, however we would love to see his fund grow too!)

Family of the Month

I haven't done a new family of the month in a while and will be choosing a one soon, but one of our previously featured families is hoping to travel at the end of this week to pick up their boys. They are still about $3500 short. PLEASE SHARE and PRAY and GIVE if you can! Jensen's adoption absolutely MUST be completed before his 14th birthday in early August. His country's rules are very firm about this. If she gets there even one day too late, there will be NO adoption and he will age-out as an orphan.  Jensen also has a brother, Jack, who is in dire need of medical attention and proper care, who will be coming home with him as well. Let's not make them wait another week. We are trusting that God is setting these boys in their family and will supply the needs for her to get there in time, but God is in the business of working through His people and so we ask His people to help us fight for Jack and Jensen's lives!

Children At-Risk of Aging-Out

There are so many new older children being listed at Reece's Rainbow, I have not had time to get them all listed. These children need families immediately or they risk aging-out of the system, which can mean a lifetime locked away in a mental institution or life on the street, caught up in human trafficking, prostitution, drugs, theft, and suicide. To view those with the most urgent needs please visit: http://reecesrainbow.org/category/aging-out.

There are many listed who are from China, and unfortunately because of the way their country has their rules set up, they have only until their 14th birthday for the adoption to be completed, which means it is a race against time and the best hope for them now is a family who has already begun the process and can add them in. (Some have more time than others. Even if you aren't started, please ask!)So please spread the word to any families you know who may be able to get to them in time.

Children from other countries have until their 16th birthdays and current USCIS law states that their paperwork must be filed before then, but the adopted can be completed up to 180 days afterwards, so even if you haven't gotten everything you need ready, you may still have time to make one of these children a part of your family.
