"A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows,
Is God in His holy habitation.
God sets the solitary in families;
He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
But the rebellious dwell in a dry land." Psalm 68:5-6 NKJV

"
If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." James 1: 26-27 NKJV

"Open your mouth for the speechless,
In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy." Proverbs 31:8-9

May's Family of the Month: The Colwell's

 Our last family of the month is fully funded and we move on to a new family this month that is leaving in just a few weeks and is still about $6000 short of what is needed to get their daughter. You can help by praying for them, sharing their story, and giving through Reece's Rainbow.

SeraiZach and Lorraine’s story started out “crazy” from the beginning. After meeting through friends while they lived across the US from each other in 2005, they met, fell in love, and were married in 2009. They started their lives together in Washington and knew they both knew they wanted children. Both discussed their desire to adopt “one day” and prayed God would bring their child into their lives when He saw fit. Lorraine was then given a 3 percent chance to ever conceive a child, just weeks before she found out their first child was on the way! Benjamin was born in 2010 and 18 months later Isaac was born! They knew their lives of percentages and “chances” seemed crazy but that God was much bigger! In the middle of getting ready for Zach to leave for 6 month training with the Air Force, Lorraine and Zach met with their friends who were adopting a child. They were instantly drawn to a little girl seen in one of the pictures with her. After lots of praying and realizing God’s timing is far greater than their own, they chose to follow where God was leading and pursue this child. Their family of four knew they were a family of five and each member longed for this little girl to be home. Although it may seem “crazy” and “quick” to others, they know that is how their lives have been from the start and refer to themselves as “crazy blessed!” They are very excited for their family to be growing and long to shower their sweet girl with love!
