"A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows,
Is God in His holy habitation.
God sets the solitary in families;
He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
But the rebellious dwell in a dry land." Psalm 68:5-6 NKJV

"
If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." James 1: 26-27 NKJV

"Open your mouth for the speechless,
In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy." Proverbs 31:8-9

Children At-Risk of Aging-Out

There are so many new older children being listed at Reece's Rainbow, I have not had time to get them all listed. These children need families immediately or they risk aging-out of the system, which can mean a lifetime locked away in a mental institution or life on the street, caught up in human trafficking, prostitution, drugs, theft, and suicide. To view those with the most urgent needs please visit: http://reecesrainbow.org/category/aging-out.

There are many listed who are from China, and unfortunately because of the way their country has their rules set up, they have only until their 14th birthday for the adoption to be completed, which means it is a race against time and the best hope for them now is a family who has already begun the process and can add them in. (Some have more time than others. Even if you aren't started, please ask!)So please spread the word to any families you know who may be able to get to them in time.

Children from other countries have until their 16th birthdays and current USCIS law states that their paperwork must be filed before then, but the adopted can be completed up to 180 days afterwards, so even if you haven't gotten everything you need ready, you may still have time to make one of these children a part of your family.
